Version 1.1 Beta & Odd Sized Zine Jam

Hello all!

First off, thanks to everyone who's used the ZineArranger these past few years, & a second round of thanks to everyone who's left a nice comment or tip! I'm delighted that this program I made to help in my own zinemaking has been able to help so many other zinesters as well.

The past few months I've been working on an update for the ZineArranger to add a handful of new features & several new size options/templates. (I'll go over the main updates below.) There's quite a lot to test with all of the new sizes/configurations, so I have launched a public beta version over on my website: https://nashhigh.com/code/ZineArranger-1-1-Beta

Along with the v1.1 beta, I'm hosting an "Odd-Sized Zine Jam" (https://itch.io/jam/odd-sized-zine-jam), which will start this Friday (May 23rd)! This is just a casual jam with the goal of making an odd-sized zine, or a zine with an usual folding pattern. If anyone would like to use the new Zine Arranger sizes & help test those out, I would love to hear how it goes!

Version 1.1 Highlights

  • New Size Options
    • 1/12th Size (6x2, minizine style)
    • 1/16th Size (4x4, micro-mini)
    • 1/24th Size (6x4, similar to a micro-mini layout)
    • 1/32nd Size (8x4)
    • 1/36th (6x6)
    • 1/48th (8x6, more of a novelty at this point :D)
    • 1/64th (8x8, a very tiny, very silly zine format)
  • Quarter Size - Two Copies Per Sheet
    • Instead of each sheet being two different sets of pages, you can opt to have two copies of each page printed per sheet. Only available for Quarter Sized zines.
  • 11"x17" and A3 Paper Sizes
    • Added Buttons to auto-fill in some larger paper sizes.
  • Custom Signature Sizes
    • Allows you to set how many sheets in each signature, for bigger book-binding style projects.
